The Pieta Amber Flag Initiative recognises the individual efforts of primary schools to create healthy, inclusive environments that support mental well-being.

By working together toward a happier, healthier Ireland and eradicate the stigmas associated with mental health issues.

In 2019 - 2020, we were awarded with our first Amber Flag.  This initiative was lead by Ms Nestor and the Amber Flag Committee.

We held many fun events set up up by the team last year such as Friendship Week and a Valentines Day Cake Sale fundraiser for Pieta House.  Tracey Keoghan from 'The Lemon Leaf' judged the cake sale. The cakes were incredibly artistic, creative and extremely delicious!

This year, Ms Horan and Ms Whitley are leading on the initiative.  The 2020 - 2021 Amber Flag Committee is:

Junior Infants: Myles Tindal

Senior Infants: Savannah O’Dowd

1st Class: Abel Hay

2nd Class: Cherie O’Sullivan

3rd Class: Naomi O’Riordan

4th Class: Oscar Kinahan

5th Class: Vivienne O’Sullivan

6th Class: Lucy Taylor

We will be holding our Friendship Week from the 16th - 20th November. During that week, we will be hosting a 'Crazy Hair Day' fundraiser for Pieta House. We can't wait! We have lots of other fun ideas for Friendship Week lined up too!
