Working together for our children

The Parent Association is the structure through which parents in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children. The Parent Association works with the principal, staff and the Board of Management to build effective partnership between home and school.

The work of the Parent Association

·  To represent the views of the parents

·  Organise fund raising and social events to support the    school and foster an inclusive school community.

·  To inform parents of the developments in Irish

   education and in school management

·  To foster co-operation between parents, teachers and

·  To provide opportunities for parents to meet and

   exchange ideas

·  To provide education for parents as required

·  To help with the provision of extra equipment and

   teaching aids.

It is essential to the community of the P.A. that parents volunteer to take an active part and become Committee Members at some stage throughout their child's education in Multose. An A.G.M. is usually held in September to explain the function of the P.A. and to elect a new committee for the following year. It can be a useful way for new parents to get to know the parents of the school.

Ann Harte - Chairperson

Maryannik Barray – Secretary

Naomi Bendon- Treasurer

Well done to all the helpers who bag backed in Supervalu on Saturday 5th May. A magnificent €1,202 was raised.

P.A Quiz night

It was full house at the family quiz last night. It was wonderful to see so many people supporting the PA fundraiser, over €1,000 was raised! Thank you also to those who made a donation even though they were unable to attend. Our gratitude goes to Centra for sponsoring the prizes. The Trident Hotel was a great venue and the staff had prepared the room perfectly. They donated a bottle of Prosecco to the raffle. Our quiz winners were Team Brandes with a score of 54. It was a nail biting finale, requiring a tie break round to decide 2nd place. Team Gault/Brown emerged in 2nd place and Team Harte came 3rd. Well done to the many “performers” who entertained everyone between rounds.
