PARENTS' ASSOCIATION

Working together for our children

The Parent Association is the structure through which parents in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children. The Parent Association works with the principal, staff and the Board of Management to build effective partnership between home and school.

The work of the Parent Association

  • To represent the views of the parents

  • To organise fund raising and social events to support the school and foster an inclusive school community.

  • To inform parents of the developments in Irish education and in school management

  • To foster co-operation between parents, teachers and management.

  • To provide opportunities for parents to meet and exchange idea.

  • To provide education for parents as required.

  •  To help with the provision of extra equipment and teaching aids.

It is essential to the community of the P.A. that parents volunteer to take an active part and become Committee Members at some stage throughout their child's education in Multose. An A.G.M. is usually held in November to explain the function of the P.A. and to elect a new committee for the following year. It can be a useful way for new parents to get to know the parents of the school.
